Solution/Enterprise Architect

Intelligent Chaos (IC), a division of EMS Consulting, specializes in Business Transformation focused approach to the implementation of Service Oriented Architecture based solutions. We are experts in helping organizations build business solutions on Oracle’s Fusion Middleware, as well as other market-leading middleware platforms.

EMS-IC is currently seeking an experienced Soluiton/Enterprise Architect who will provide leadership for the design, development, and implementation of highly complex, reliable, and scalable solutions for databases, middleware, and tools to support a service-orientated architecture that will meet the business and technical objectives and requirements of our clients.

Candidates will need to be able to participate and and influence the identification, prioritization and development of technical initiatives and strategies in Oracle’s technology and application stack, and provide tactical and strategic inputs to consulting teams and IT/Technology management teams.

Essential Job Functions

Orchestrate design and delivery of complex, comprehensive technology-based business solutions at the enterprise level (Business).
Strong background in the design/execution within Oracles technology solutions
Strong background with Oracles PeopleSoft’s Enterprise architecture
Ability to support team members with a “hands on” approach when necessary
Experience in developing and driving SOA strategies within large enterprises.
Experience developing and delivering pre & post sales presentations and proposals for client
Maintain holistic view of product implementation process, ensuring that solutions are sound, appropriate and cost-justified, the components integrate properly, and all domains of change within the scope of the solution are addressed (Business).
Provide clients with strategic advice including product features, vendor recommendations and future direction of technology (Business).
Lead team activities based on a customized methodology approach with customized work products (Methodology).
Lead a team of resources (company, client and third-party resources) in area of expertise to conclusion of a project phase (Management).
Manage up to 5 projects directing the consultants on integration techniques and methodologies
Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies that are new to company, clients, or the information technology industry as they relate to package-based application implementations (Technical).
Play lead role in influencing client expectations and ensuring client satisfaction in area of responsibility and beyond (Relationship Management).
Demonstrate political savvy and establishes credibility with client management at the executive steering committee and Board of Directors levels (Relationship Management).
Lead proposal efforts and creates strategies to win business in new markets or current accounts (Leverage).
Provide direction and architecture for Oracle and related supporting technologies that includes: Oracle10g/11g, Oracle RAC, SOA Weblogic Suite, Oracle Service Bus (OSB), Identity Manager etc.
Develop and implement IT architecture plans, Enterprise Information Architecture standard and guidelines
Develop data sharing standards and architecting scalable service oriented solutions
Work with business teams to develop Business Process Models and work with technology teams to design, develop and implement these processes and required infrastructure
Establish data standards and policies, systems architecture design, and migration systems architectures to ensure access to and integrity of data assets

The skills, experience, and education required for this position include the following:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or software or systems engineering, information systems management or equivalent field is recommended; strong industry experience may substitute
10+ years technology experience
60% travel
